I was fortunate to meet hip-hop producer, rapper and Founder of Phat Family Records, Dutchboy while attending the LA Premier of ‘Pick Up The Mic,’ the first documentary on Gay Hip-Hop. (See trailer below)

Many years later I decided to start on a series of books on this new genre of music featuring over 30 of the various artists I have photographed.  I was anxious to get a proper photo shoot of him as one of the leaders in the start of Homo-Hop. To my surprise he was coming to visit NY a few weeks later and needless to say you can see the results above.

While traveling with the Homo Revolution Tour and stopping in my home town of Phoenix, Arizona I was surprised to meet a local gay hip-hop artist, Downlow.

A few years later I decided to start on a series of books on this new genre of music featuring over 30 of the various artists I have photographed.  At the same time I was heading to Phoenix to visit my family and got together with Downlow for photoshoots around the Valley of The Sun.

I first met Soce, The Elemental Wizard of hip-hop, while traveling with The Homo Revolution Tour.

When I relocated to NY I got in contact with him and we got together for a day of photoshoots. Later he used one the random images we took while walking past a pile of fall leaves, as the cover for his latest amazing album, Master of Fine Arts.

As a big female hip-hop fan, I was very honored and excited to have legendary rapper, Sweet Tee in my studio. A fan of hers for many, many years I was very happy to see she was everything I excepted and more. Her first album ‘It’s Tee Time’ was produced by Hurby “Love Buy’ Astor of Salt-N-Pepa fame. Did you know 50 Cent started off as her hype man? Me either, till the shoot where we spend most of the time listening to her new amazing mix-tape featuring Jay-Z!
